Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano, one of the world’s most active, erupted again on 9 November, shooting a massive fountain of lava into the air.
The US Geological Survey said the volcano erupted continuously for nearly five hours, with lava reaching 1,000–1,100 ft (300–330 m) during the event.
According to the USGS, this is the 36th eruption episode since December 2024.
